This is a yoga mat (also good for pilates floor exercises), it isn't supposed to be a comfy place to lie whilst on the floor, it's just for a little extra support. These dont crumble away at the edges as easily as the chip-foam types. They're not quite as thick as I thought, so unless you're a yoga pro- best get 2 until you can reach that little bit further.
